Kaja Kallas is a top EU official. She said that EU leaders should not visit the May 9 celebrations in Moscow, which will remember the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico did not agree. On social media, he said: “I will go to Moscow on May 9. Is this a warning or a threat? I don’t know. But it is the year 2025, not 1939.” Fico said that no one can dictate to him where he can or cannot travel. He wants to honor Soviet soldiers who died in World War II. In 2023 Fico's government stopped sending weapons to Ukraine. Fico says that he wants the war to stop. He also does not agree with sanctions against Russia. Last year, Fico met with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kaja Kallasová je vysokou úřednicí EU. Uvedla, že vedoucí představitelé EU by neměli navštívit oslavy 9. května v Moskvě, které připomínají 80. výročí konce druhé světové války. Slovenský premiér Robert Fico s tím nesouhlasil. Na sociálních sítích uvedl: „Do Moskvy 9. května pojedu. Je to varování nebo hrozba? To nevím.
