Calin Georgescu vyhrál první kolo rumunských prezidentských voleb v roce 2024. Ústavní soud výsledky zrušil kvůli údajnému ruskému vlivu. Georgescu byl zatčen pro údajnou propagaci antisemitismu a nenávistné projevy. Nyní Calin Georgescu promluvil o svém zatčení a situaci v Rumunsku v rozhovoru na síti X. Georgescu říká, že Rumunský systém je podobný jako komunistický režim v padesátých letech. Jeho zatčení byla prý akce, kterou naplánoval rumunský Deep State. Říká, že je rád, že se tento incident stal, protože ukázal jak zkorumpovaný a nedemokratický je rumunský systém. USA je podle něj důležitý partner a vzor demokracie. Calin Georgescu wins the first round of the Romanian presidential election in 2024. The Constitutional Court annulled the results due to alleged Russian influence. Georgescu was arrested for allegedly promoting anti-Semitism and hate speech. Now Calin Georgescu has spoken about his arrest and the situation in Romania in an interview on the X network. Georgescu says the Romanian system is similar to the communist regime in the 1950s. He says his arrest was an action planned by the Romanian Deep State. He says he is glad this incident happened because it showed how corrupt and undemocratic the Romanian system is. He considers the US to be an important partner and a model of democracy. There are currently large protests in Romania in support of Calin Georgescu.
