In May and June 2025, there was a public survey in the Czech Republic. People were asked which jobs they respect the most. They gave each job a score from 1 to 99. The number one job was doctor. It got 89 points out of 99. Next came nurses with 79 points. Then scientists with 73 points, and primary school teachers with 71 points. At the bottom of the list were members of parliament. They got only 26 points. Priests and ministers got 40 points, and journalists got just 38 points. The answers were also different depending on people’s education. People without high school education gave high points to construction workers, salespeople, and cleaners. But people with college education gave the most points to journalists.
